ADMINISTRATIVE EXCELLENCE
Administrative Office Procedures
Turn everyday office tasks into clear, repeatable procedures
Why It Matters
Most offices run on habits that live in a few people's heads. When one of them is out, invoices stall, requests get lost, and new hires guess. Documented procedures fix that. They make handoffs smoother, reduce errors, and give supervisors a fair standard to coach against. For participants, clear procedures mean less firefighting and more confidence. For organizations, they protect continuity, support audits, and make it far easier to onboard staff and grow operations.
Course Description
Participants start by choosing a real process from their own office, such as processing purchase requests, welcoming a visitor, or routing mail. They map the current steps, spot gaps and duplicate effort, and redesign the flow. From there, the group practices writing procedures in plain language: checklists, step-by-step instructions, and quick-reference guides. Peer review shows where instructions confuse a first-time reader. Discussion covers version control, where procedures should live, and how to keep them current without creating a binder nobody opens. Each participant leaves with a drafted procedure and a plan to test it with colleagues, gather feedback, and set a review date so the document stays accurate.
