Why It Matters

Administrative professionals sit at the crossroads of nearly every workflow. They field requests from multiple managers, keep calendars moving, and catch problems before they spread. Without a clear way to prioritize, the role turns reactive and exhausting, and important details slip. Strong support skills reduce stress for the person in the seat and keep the whole team productive. Organizations benefit from fewer missed deadlines, smoother communication, and leaders who can focus on decisions rather than logistics.

Course Description

The session is built around the real mix of requests participants handle. Working from their own task lists, they sort competing asks by urgency, impact, and requester, then practice short conversations to clarify expectations and negotiate deadlines. Scenarios cover the double-booked meeting, the vague request that arrives at 4:45 on a Friday, and the email thread that needs a clean summary. Participants also practice status updates that keep several stakeholders informed without extra meetings. Group discussion surfaces tools and tracking methods that work in different offices. Before finishing, each person builds a simple intake and tracking routine and a plan to try it with their team, with a check-in point to review what changed.
