Why It Matters

Deadlines arrive faster than expected, important projects get pushed aside by urgent requests, and the day ends with the most valuable work untouched. Poor time management creates stress, late deliverables, and rushed quality. Many people have never been taught how to prioritize or plan realistically. For organizations, better time management means projects delivered on schedule, fewer last-moment crunches, and staff who can take on more without burning out.

Course Description

A planning cycle gives the course its shape. Participants first look at where their time actually went last week and compare it with their priorities. They then practice prioritizing a realistic task list using an urgent-versus-important grid, deciding what to do, schedule, delegate, or drop. Next comes scheduling: weekly and daily planning, time blocking, estimating how long tasks really take, and building in buffer. A segment on procrastination explores why people delay, from unclear starting points to perfectionism, and offers techniques to get moving. Participants also practice saying no or renegotiating deadlines when their plate is full. Everyone leaves with a planned week, a prioritization method, and a short daily planning routine.
