CUSTOMER SERVICE
Contact Center Skills
Deliver one consistent experience across phone, chat, email, and social
Why It Matters
A customer who emails, then chats, then calls should not have to repeat the story three times. Yet many service teams treat channels as separate worlds, with different tone, different answers, and notes that never reach the next agent. That frustrates customers and drives up volume. Multichannel skills let agents switch smoothly between written and spoken service. Organizations gain a consistent brand experience, better data in the CRM, and fewer escalations caused by mixed messages.
Course Description
Participants practice service across channels rather than on the phone alone. Exercises include rewriting a stiff email reply, handling two chat conversations at once, and responding to a public social post that needs to move to a private channel. They review sample CRM records to see what useful notes look like and practice picking up a case another agent started. Discussion covers when to switch a customer to a different channel, how to keep written responses warm and accurate, and how templates and knowledge bases help or hurt. Participants compare responses to build a shared standard for tone and accuracy. Each person leaves with a short channel checklist and a plan to review sample interactions with a lead.
