Why It Matters

Organizations rely more and more on employees who can work with limited supervision, especially in hybrid and remote settings. People who wait for direction stall projects and frustrate managers, while those who lead themselves keep work moving and grow faster. Self-leadership also protects individuals: knowing your priorities and motivators helps you stay engaged and make better career choices. It is the foundation for every later leadership role.

Course Description

The course is built around three questions: where am I going, what keeps me moving, and how do I hold myself accountable? Participants start by connecting their daily work to larger goals, both the organization's and their own. They identify what motivates them and design practical strategies for low-energy periods, such as breaking work into visible milestones. An accountability segment introduces self-check-ins, commitments shared with a colleague, and honest reviews of missed goals. Participants also clarify decision boundaries: which choices they can make on their own, which need a quick check, and which belong to someone else. Case discussions examine common challenges in remote, frontline, and project roles. Each person builds a personal operating plan with goals, motivators, and a weekly review rhythm.
