Why It Matters

People who misjudge their own strengths or impact make avoidable career mistakes: pursuing roles that do not fit, repeating habits that frustrate colleagues, or underselling real talent. Many assume they see themselves accurately, yet colleagues often notice patterns they miss. For organizations, self-aware employees take feedback better, set more realistic goals, and grow into new responsibilities faster. For emerging talent, self-awareness is the starting point for choosing a direction.

Course Description

Self-awareness has two sides: how you see yourself and how others see you. The course works on both. Participants use guided reflection exercises to name their core values, identify strengths through concrete examples, and spot recurring patterns in situations that go poorly. They then compare that internal view with outside perspective by practicing how to ask for feedback in specific, low-pressure ways and how to listen without defending. Paired conversations help participants test assumptions about their impact on others. Discussion addresses common blind spots, such as overusing a strength until it becomes a weakness. Each person drafts a short summary of strengths, values, and growth areas, plus a feedback plan naming two people to ask and what to ask them.
