Why It Matters

Women remain underrepresented in senior leadership roles across many sectors, and the barriers are often subtle: fewer sponsors, narrower feedback, and double standards around assertiveness. Talent gets lost when capable leaders stall in the middle. Participants gain practical strategies to advance on their own terms, and organizations that invest in women's leadership broaden their leadership pipeline and bring a wider range of perspectives to the decision-making table.

Course Description

Candid discussion and practical planning run side by side in this course. Participants begin by mapping their own career path, strengths, and the next role they want. A segment on sponsorship explains how it differs from mentorship and has participants identify potential sponsors and plan how to make their goals visible. Practice rounds focus on presence and voice: making a clear point in a meeting, negotiating for a stretch assignment, and responding when interrupted or talked over. Discussion addresses the double bind many women face between being seen as too soft or too assertive, and how to lead authentically within it. Participants leave with a personal advancement plan and a peer accountability partner.
