Plan, lead, and sustain organizational change people actually adopt

Why It Matters

Reorganizations, new systems, policy shifts, and funding changes arrive constantly, and many never deliver what they promised. The plan is rarely the problem. People were not brought in early, managers could not explain the reason, or the old way quietly came back. For participants, change skills mean less disruption to their own teams. For organizations, they mean investments in new systems and structures actually pay off instead of fading after launch.

Course Description

Participants bring a real change they are leading or expect to lead and work on it from start to finish. They begin by defining the change in plain terms: what is different, for whom, and why now. A stakeholder mapping exercise identifies who gains, who loses, and who has influence. Small groups then diagnose resistance in case scenarios and practice responding to it as useful information rather than defiance. Participants draft core messages for different audiences and test them on peers. The final segment covers reinforcement: measures, routines, and recognition that keep the change in place after the launch energy fades. Everyone leaves with a draft change plan for their own initiative and a follow-up point to review progress.

Key Focus Areas

Participants explore and practice:

  • Defining the change, its scope, and the case for it in plain language

  • Reinforcing new behaviors so the change holds after launch
