Trade Show Staff Training
Turn booth traffic into qualified leads and real follow-up
Why It Matters
Organizations invest in booth space, materials, travel, and staff time, yet many come home with a stack of business cards and no plan. Booth staff stand behind tables, check phones, or talk to colleagues instead of visitors. A trained team engages more visitors, qualifies them quickly, and captures details that make follow-up meaningful. That turns an expensive event into measurable pipeline and partnerships, and gives leaders a clearer basis for deciding which shows to attend.
Course Description
Participants prepare for an upcoming show or a realistic sample event. They practice booth behaviors that invite visitors in, open conversations with engaging questions rather than a flat offer of help, and quickly qualify interest. Role plays rotate through common visitor types: the serious buyer, the student collecting giveaways, the competitor, and the talker who will not leave. Teams design a lead capture method, whether a form, scanner, or app, and agree on what information matters. Discussion covers staffing schedules, booth etiquette, and a pre-show briefing. The final segment builds a follow-up plan with timing, messages, and owners. Each team leaves with a booth playbook and a post-show debrief agenda.
