Why It Matters

Desk-bound work, back-to-back meetings, and long commutes leave many employees tired, stiff, and running on caffeine. Those patterns affect concentration, mood, and attendance long before they show up as anything more serious. Employees benefit from simple, realistic habits they can build into the workday. Organizations benefit from a workforce with more energy and fewer avoidable strains, and from staff who know about the wellness resources and benefits already available to them.

Course Description

Participants begin with a quick, private look at their own workday patterns: how often they move, when they eat, how they sleep, and where they feel physical strain. No one is asked to share personal health information. Short segments then cover four everyday areas. Movement: easy ways to break up sitting and add activity. Rest: why breaks and sleep affect performance. Workstation setup: basic ergonomic adjustments for desks, screens, and laptops. Nutrition awareness: hydration and planning meals and snacks around a busy schedule. Group discussion surfaces barriers like meeting-heavy calendars and shift work, along with solutions people have found. Participants pick one or two small habits to try and note the workplace wellness resources available to them. Content is general education, not medical advice.
