Why It Matters

Tight deadlines, staff shortages, shifting priorities, and pressure at home all add load. Short bursts of stress are manageable, but without recovery they pile up into fatigue, irritability, and mistakes. Teams under sustained strain see higher absenteeism and turnover. Helping employees understand their stress patterns and build realistic recovery habits keeps people healthier and more effective. It also gives managers a shared language for discussing workload before it turns into burnout.

Course Description

Participants start with a stress inventory, listing current sources of pressure at work and outside it, then sorting each into what they can control, influence, or need to accept. That sorting shapes the rest of the course. For controllable stressors, they practice problem-solving and renegotiating workload. For those they can influence, they plan conversations with supervisors or teammates. For what they must accept, they explore reframing and acceptance techniques. A second segment focuses on recovery: micro-breaks during the day, transitions between work and home, sleep, and activities that genuinely recharge. Participants compare quick in-the-moment techniques with longer-term routines. Each person builds a personal stress plan with early warning signs, go-to coping tools, and a recovery routine, plus a check-in date to review it.
