Rehearse real interviews and get feedback before it counts

Why It Matters

Qualified candidates lose offers because they freeze, ramble, or give generic answers to questions they could have anticipated. Reading interview tips helps a little; answering out loud and hearing how it landed helps far more. For workforce programs and employers hiring early-career talent, rehearsal improves the match between candidates and roles and reduces the anxiety that keeps capable people from showing what they can do.

Course Description

Repetition builds interview confidence, so practice fills most of the time. Participants first review common interview formats, including one-on-one, panel, virtual, and group, plus the question types they will meet. They build a short bank of stories from work, school, or volunteer experience and shape each with a situation, action, and result structure. Then the rounds begin. In small groups, participants rotate as candidate, interviewer, and observer, using a feedback form that looks at content, clarity, body language, and closing questions. Candidates step back into the chair after feedback so they can apply it right away. Questions can be matched to target roles or a partner employer's openings. Participants finish with a personal improvement list and three strong questions to ask any interviewer.
